We are Rendeavour
Africa’s Urban Future
We are Africa’s new city builder. Our seven cities accelerate business and raise living standards across sub-Saharan Africa.
As Africa’s gold-standard new city builder, Rendeavour is transforming over 12,000 hectares (30,000 acres) across the continent into vibrant, sustainable urban environments that solve infrastructure challenges, foster investment, create jobs and drive socioeconomic development.
Africa’s cities suffer from decades of poor planning and controls, choking congestion and overwhelmed infrastructure and utilities. With rapid urbanisation and strong economic growth, the situation is deteriorating.
In the terminology of the World Bank, Africa’s cities are suffering from negative agglomeration economies – as they grow, they are becoming less efficient. Poor municipal governance means it will be decades before Africa’s cities begin to become more efficient and more liveable.
Rendeavour’s cities solve these challenges by providing world-class urban design, infrastructure, amenities, and controls, all tailored to local market requirement and aspirations. Rendeavour also offers strong global linkages, facilitating large-scale foreign investment and valuable skills and technology transfers.
